Beaufort College Library

Welcome to the JCSP library in Beaufort College, Navan, County Meath. Set up to put reading at the heart of this school community, up to 200 people per day use the library for a range of classes, lunchtime and after-school activities. Thousands of books are lent each academic year. Keep up-to-date with library activities and events by following our twitter feed: @BFTLibrary

We strive to ensure sure that there is a book in every first year bag at all times. We endeavour to match the right book to the right student. We are passionate about encouraging success and progression in reading from the moment students join us in first year.

At the start of each year we invite first year parents to join us for an information evening about how we can work together to support the success of every child. We ask parents for their support in encouraging a daily committment to reading.

The library is staffed by a full-time professional librarian. Find out more about our librarian Ms McDermott here: Meet Ms McDermott

We are delighted to announce that we now offer a full Digital Library Service for students and staff of Beaufort College. Get your username and password from Ms McDermott. Click the tab Digital Library on the school homepage to borrow and return your ebooks. Digital Library

Students who develop their reading skills and the habit of reading on a regular basis are far more likely to bring those habits forward in later life.  We look forward to many more years of reading and library programmes in striving to bring variety, innovation and richness to our student's education experience.
