All students are enrolled in the Junior Certificate Schools Programme or JCSP during their first year. Involvement in the programme brings many benefits to our school including our JCSP library, additional teaching allocation and further assistance in the form of creative initiatives that help promote student engagement with the Junior Cycle. Three areas underpin JCSP, profiling, evaluating initiatives, and recording student progress through self-reflection using subject statements. Check out our JCSP Photos section to get a flavour of some of the work of the JCSP Programme.

Make a Book Exhibition 2018/2019
First Year EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students proudly represented Beaufort College at the JCSP Make a Book Event on Friday 22nd of March in the Ardboyne Hotel. Students created a book based on images from The Book of Kells which they displayed at the exhibition. The students had a great time creating the book, learning about the past, improving their literacy and numeracy skills through creativity – and to top it off – had a wonderful day at the exhibition! Congratulations to the students involved who did a great job representing Beaufort College! Great fun was had by all and the exhibit will be displayed in school in the coming week – so watch this space!
Celebrating Success - Our JCSP Postcard Initiative
Beaufort College's JCSP Postcard Initiative was launched in March. Some 1st-year students received a postcard home in recognition of their achievements in learning or some other aspect of school life. Parents, watch the letterbox! This initiative is one of several in our school that spotlights student cooperation and success. Every student in Beaufort is capable of real success in our school. Parents we invite you to celebrate these postcards at home with your young person, it is a record of their engagement and commitment to school life.
