Rainbows is a national children’s voluntary service with an average of 6,000 children and young people coming into the service every year throughout Ireland. Beaufort College is proud to have this programme well established in the school.
Rainbows supports children and young people in groups. There are groups for children and young people who have been affected by the death of a close family member and there are groups for children and young people whose family has changed because their parents have separated or divorced.
Rainbows is available for students from first to sixth year and takes place on an annual basis.
Group meetings are held during school hours only, once a week, for a period of 12 weeks.
The sessions are confidential and privacy is of utmost importance in the facilitating of this programme in Beaufort College.
